How did she get to that point? I can’t see the branch she would have taken! Lovely photo and I am guessing not the first time she has climbed a tree! Do join me over on my Country Kids linky too.
Thank-you It’s just the angle of the photo, the branches are densely packed so everything close together. The branch it looks like her foot is on actually wouldn’t take her weight but the thick ‘U’ to the right of that is near. It was easier for her to go up than down.
That is very cool. My son loves climbing but he is still too small to get very far on his own so a lot of his climbing involves being put 6 foot up in a tree by his dad. Climbing trees is a great developmental activity to improve confidence, problem solving, upper arm strength etc
My 3yo tries but can’t yet either, but MG is 5.5 and tall so getting quite good. I do love that she tries and agree on all the skills they get from it. It’s wonderful I’m only 5’2 so can’t get them very high either and will wait until they can do it alone as won’t be able to get them out of a high tree!!
they suddenly get so brave!
They do! And then scared, and then brave again it seems! Thank-you
Great picture.
Thank-you
That’s a long way up!Did she get down safely?
Yes, she’s coming down in the pic (was slightly higher!) When she got stuck and asked for help, I held her. Thank-you
cool I used to love climbing trees as a kid. tried to the other day for a photo and got scared!
I was always too scared and MG can be shy/nervous so it’s lovely to see her try. Go you for trying!
That’s a very pretty dress considering she’s tree climbing! Lovely picture xx
Thank-you
It’s the dress that makes the picture for me!
