It doesn’t seem that long at all since I wrote that MG was five, but now she is six and as clever as clever…

I don’t want her to stay six forever and ever though, and she herself is looking forward to being seven next year! This birthday was apparently so perfect that she wants it exactly the same next year – forgive me for a little bit of pride in my party planning there

MG’s chosen theme this year was butterflies. It was a much smaller affair than last year, and the first one we hosted in our own house. There was crafts in the form of decorating shoes with fabric pens and sparkly stickers; plenty of food and drink; some party games; lots of bouncing and dancing; and a completely unplanned episode of Scooby Doo whilst munching the birthday tea. I wish we could have invited more of MG’s friends but eight children in total was just right and all the guests were brilliant. DG has asked for a “big girl” party just like it for her birthday too.

That looks like an amazing party and are those cakes in the little boxes?? I am looking forward to organising girl parties when A gets older
