Our Week in Books #16

It’s been a book-heavy week again. I needed retail therapy and there were these offers… Oops. Frustratingly I have spent far more money that I have so once the kids are back to school it’s time to get selling old stuff and writing lots of reviews so I can keep my book habit that way. Blah. I am so rubbish with money. Especially when I’m miserable. I’ve lost track of whether I’ve been ill for six or seven weeks now and am at the stage where I really can’t wait for Tuesday and back to school. Sigh.

I’m in a grump at the moment, so I’ll stop before I get too boring with the whinges. Hopefully a competition for tickets to the Hoo’s Kids Book Fest to come shortly (once I’ve replied to e-mail to say yes please…)

  1. I recently finished The Universe vs Alex Woods too. Reminded me of a guy with the same name who was in my A level English class! Wouldn’t usually have been my sort of book, but I quite enjoyed it in the end. And bawled!
